Weekly wrap-ups are a series I did last Blogtober that I really enjoyed, so I wanted to bring them back for another year. They are inspired by vintage daily diaries, with little highlight blurbs mentioned for each day. This year, I am adding in the daily weather highs. I really hope we get to see a downward trend as each week goes on!
Monday, September 28
Weather: 85 F (29 C), sunny
Today was an average day for me, except I wasn’t as productive as I would have liked. In the evening, mom and I went out to a couple of local farm stands. At the first one, we picked out a couple of pumpkins to carve, I chose the biggest ones I could find!

At the second stand, Mom picked out some pumpkin spice granola and I got spaghetti squash. I don’t know why, but I was really wanting to eat one. I probably had it once before in my life but after baking it and eating the entire thing for dinner I cant believe I never eat them. I’m thinking of just leaning in to seasonal eating whole foods.
Tuesday, September 29
Weather: 85 F (29 C), partly cloudy
It was another average day, the highlight was starting on my Halloween crafts! I cut out some ghost shapes from cardboard and painted them.

Wednesday, September 30
Weather: 90 F (32 C), partly cloudy
Today I woke up and took care of the dogs while my brother went and took his driving test. He passed! I made some honey jalapeno hummus which was good enough to be a highlight of the day, but it wasn’t pretty enough for a picture.
Late at night I worked on the invitations for my small Halloween party I’m planning!

In the news, Christa Pike was supposed to be the first woman executed in Tennessee in over 200 years, and after two lethal doses she just went to bed and snored. She is now in critical condition and is receiving “life-saving medical care”. The whole thing is ridiculous to me and the failure is just as inhumane. Have you been following the situation?
Thursday, October 1
Weather: 81 F (27 C), rainy
Happy October first! It was rainy and cool all day. I think rain is starting to grow on me, but maybe it’s just the placebo that rainy days always make me feel depressed.

In the evening I fully completed my DIY decorations with the lights. I want to add bats as well, but I think I will do that with construction paper because these cutouts are tape resistant. I have been battling them since the other day!

It was also World Postcard Day, and I ended up writing five! I will write some more tomorrow.

Friday, October 2
Weather: 76 F (24 C), light rain in the morning
It was nice and cold today. I put up my tank tops and brought out my long sleeved shirts to hang up to celebrate. I ended up eating another spaghetti squash today! I just ate it with salt and pepper.

Later, Dylan and I carved pumpkins! Last year, we actually didn’t carve pumpkins until November 😅. I carved a turkey-o-lantern so it was a thanksgiving theme then, but this year, Dylan got some templates that we taped onto our pumpkins and carved out. We carved early this year! What better way to get into the spirit of the season, though.
Conclusion
This was a pretty low-energy week because of the rain, but the cold temperature made up for it. Those were the highlights out of the everyday motions, How was your week? Do you have any plans for the weekend? Let me know, and I will see you tomorrow!
P.S. I’m testing out a site for drafting my posts called Made By Humans. One feature that I really like is the drafting playback! Recently the time written was added in a graphic at the top while the writing process is playing and I think it’s super cool. I also like the badge it gives you to prove the post is your original work 😎.

The Pike woman situation makes me very unhappy. Ludicrous!
