I have spent the last two months enjoying the medieval fantasy aesthetic, and I have taken my blog along for the ride. We have listened to Bardcore, played middle-age themed video games, and even done some fun crafts. What does that say about me?
For September, I want to have a small pallet cleanser. Not completely, because I am in full Autumn/Blogtober/Halloween mode, but I will spare those posts until the time is right. While I spend time preparing Blogtober posts, let’s have some fun with some nostalgia and exploring new concepts.
First, I want to analyze my handwriting. This was the inspiration for this entire month! I write a lot by hand every day, so my mind naturally drifted to what others may think of my wild handwriting.

Next, I want to take a step back in time and retake some of the personality tests I remember being obsessed with during my teenage-hood. It has been so long since I thought about the MBTI test and the Enneagram test. I wonder if anything has changed.
Those two prompts are set in stone, but if I get to it, I also want to analyze my color pallet. What colors look best on me? Have I been flattering my complexion or washing myself out?
Astrology is a very easy one to cover, however I don’t want it to be a main focus in a post. For anyone who is wondering, I am a Sagittarius with an Aries moon and rising.

Just for fun, what do my pop culture alignments say about me? How do you compare, if you are familiar with these bookish factions:
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor! I have been a Gryffindor since I was 11, and I have taken the test repeatedly over the years whether it be from the official pottermore website or fan-made quizzes.

Divergent Faction: Amity. I used to be obsessed with Dauntless, just because that was the cool option for an emo teen, but I think I prefer Amity now. They give off hippie vibes that I can relate to at times.

Camp Half-Blood Cabin: 15. I am a big dreamer.

Panem District: 10, This is geography-based, but I love the Hunger Games so I had to include it.

Prythian Court: Day Court. Of course Velaris of the Night Court sounds cool but Feyre and Rhysand annoy me too much to be ruled by them. The descriptions of the Day Court just sound warm and cheerful. Helion is also a cool and complex character. I feel like there was more hinted at him than was revealed in the ACOTAR series.

And the most important book question of all that has nothing to do with classifications or location: Edward or Jacob?

Werewolves all day, every day. Bella, where the hell have you been, loca?
Since this isn’t an “aesthetic” theme, I have no Pinterest board or YouTube videos to share.

I remember taking the MBTI text in college. I don’t remember what my results were, but I do wonder what it’d be like if I took the test now.

I’m not sure why it was a big thing, but I took it multiple times back around 2015🤣. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve done the MBTI test but I haven’t done the Enneagram test.

I think the enneagram test was more of a fad than anything. I saw things about it on social media for a time and then no one talked about it again. I was obsessed with personality tests, though, so I was also looking for any and all tests to take lol

Triple Fire sign🔥 That explains the passion and dedication to all of your creative pursuits! Bringing 4 different medieval archetypes to life the way you did with all the detail is fiery impressive… I love all the YA fiction sortings, am familiar with most of them. And MBTI— Hmm I’ll bet you’re an ISFP… Fun post! ✌️

Very good guesses😋! It’s funny, a lot of the time I don’t feel super fiery at all lol. Thank you!

That’s how I feel about this edit I’m working on, where fire is a major element. Because I want the edit to be more chill and less explosive… Fire of course manifests in less obvious ways. It’s symbolism runs deeper than mere explosive heat.

Those quizzes are fun! Teen magazines in the 90’s had quizzes about love life, future predictions, personalities, etc. They were a lot of fun to do back then.

I still have a lot of my J-14 magazines with all of the quizzes hehe

This takes me way back to those BuzzFeed quizzes like, “Which Hogwarts house do you belong in?” or “What cupcake flavour are you?” I much prefer your thorough, accurate analysis, but I definitely got a strong wave of nostalgia from reading this! 😂🤣

They were so much fun, I remember spending a lot of time on the BuzzFeed website combing through all of those quizzes lol

I don’t remember if I’ve ever taken a real Myers-Briggs test, but I’ve taken a lot of tests based on it and its personality types, and I always come out ISTJ. And I thought for years I was a Hufflepuff, but the actual test on Pottermore put me in Gryffindor; I guess I’m braver than I thought. That happens sometimes.

They redesigned the official Hogwarts quiz for the new tv show, and I saw some people reject their “new” house haha! When I was a kid reading Harry Potter I would wonder why Hermione wasn’t in Ravenclaw, but she used her intelligence to take big risks even if it went against reasonable logic. She had to keep up with the antics of Harry and Ron, after all lol.
ISTJ’s nickname is The Logistician. You are said to be responsible, dedicated, and honest. 16personalities.com also says you share the same personality type as Hermione Granger lol, that’s a coincidence!

I’m aware of the existence of a new Harry Potter show, but I haven’t followed much about it. I don’t really watch a lot of newer shows, mostly because I don’t pay for subscription TV since I wouldn’t watch enough for it to be worth it. I’ve heard a lot of people have the same question about Hermione, but apparently the Sorting Hat sees things in people that not everyone else does.
While we’re on the topic, thanks for reminding me; DLTDGB is right in the time period when Harry Potter first became popular, so I need to mention at some point in the 17 or so episodes I have left character-Greg’s initial reaction to Harry Potter. I’ll add it to my notes right now.
I could see Hermione being an ISTJ. That site also said Scully from X-Files is an ISTJ. I don’t know if you remember that show, it was a little before your time, but you’ve probably seen me write about it, and that fits her personality too. She was definitely the more rational of the agents on the show.

Yeah I probably won’t watch the new show, I’m not sure what service it is on either. I’ve never been a big fan of remakes in general, though. You’re welcome for the reminder haha!

Oo I think I remember that about you. Do you know your venus sign? I feel like you may be a scorpio venus like me or maybe pisces? I’m not good at guessing though haha!

You are very close since my Venus is also Mars ruled like Scorpio. My Venus is also in Aries. Scorpio and Aries are both Mars ruled ( scorpio is water and fixed and Aries is cardinal). Modern Astro also gives Pluto for scorpio as ruler.

I remember going to county fairs and in the buildings they would have this huge computer looking type of thing and it would analyze your handwriting. I’m not sure I’d want my handwriting analyzed. Lol. But I do remember when I was a kid having it done by that computer thing at the fair. I have no idea what it said though. I don’t remember anymore. Lol

I’ve never heard of that, I wonder how it worked And yeah, I’m not sure how accurate my sources were. It seems like common sense that an impatient person would write “rushed” or scribbly 😂
