At the end of September, I wrote about World Postcard Day being on October 1st! Well that day I definitely wrote some postcards! I sat down, grabbed my basket of blank cards, and got to work. I joined one swap on Swapbot.com, and I sent four others on Postcrossing.com.

While the Swapbot listing was international, I ended up sending a card to someone who lives just hours away from me in the same state haha! But It was fun and I picked out the jellyfish card for them because that was an interest in their bio.

On Postctossing, I pulled one to Missouri, one to Germany, Japan, and China. So far, USA, Germany, and Japan have all received their cards and I should be expecting some soon! But I couldn’t wait to update the blog because I received my postcard from Swapbot. It came from North Carolina, but they used a postcard they bought while on a Rhine River Cruise. How cool is that?

This is just a short update on my snail mail shenanigans, I thought it may be cool to see where I am sending to and what I received so far. International mail takes a bit longer than domestic mail, and postcards are prone to getting lost, which is tragic! I expect that I may not receive a Postcrossing card until November, but I am already tempted to write some more cards!

Does your city have a lot of touristy postcards? If so, I am jealous, because it is so hard to find them where I live!
