Finding Purpose

Am I allowed to have senior-itis less than one month into the school year? Thankfully, I’ve been able to go back to school and have been able to return to my normal routine for the first time since March.

During this quarantine period, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my many goals and ambitions regarding my hobbies, this blog being one of them.

While writing my return post back in February, I could have never predicted such a turn of events, as I’m sure none of us could have. My Costa Rica trip as well as my Virginia Trip was cancelled, and my Concert has been postponed until next September.

I mean, the reason why I returned to blogging was to document those important moments in my life, and while I still had an amazing time writing posts about art and writing and my other hobbies, I started to feel lost. Those posts were just place holders for my amazing adventures I planned on having, and they vanished before my eyes.

Yet here I am, because my break had made me realize i didn’t accomplish my second goal in returning to blogging, and that was to document my last year of being a true teenager, my last year of high school.

So what have I been doing, with only 3 months until my 18th birthday?

Well, to start, I somehow captured a boyfriend, and had the best summer I’ve ever had. With my best friends, I did a lot of thrift shopping, picnics, and swimming. Don’t worry, masks were worn in public and we followed all social distancing guidelines ;).

I did a lot of writing in April, which can be seen on my blog, and that really helped me to pass the time during quarantine, that is to say until my best friend came to visit and went on many many adventures.

Imma be honest, that’s about it haha, but that’s my life for you. I am happy with all of my classes, i get to write in my English class, which helps me with this blog ;). I’ve been having a lot of fun picking out my outfits for school, which i hope to post here soon. Don’t worry, I have much more planned for this blog, for i love to write and publish, and I hope you all will stick around as I continue to improve both my content and my writing.

Speaking of content, I’d like to update you all on that. During April, I did many How To posts, and to be honest, it was for the relevance of the content, but it wasn’t what made me 100% happy. I love life update posts and just writing posts in general, so while i enjoy the How to posts, there will be less of them going forward. I’m not a numbers kind of person, whoever reads, reads, and those people who stick around are those who truly matter to me and my blog.

So thanks, reader, for hanging out during this transitional period.

Until next time,

Katelyn
