With trips being cancelled and staying indoors the new norm, I, along with the majority of the world, are starting to get a little stir-crazy.

Luckily, the infinite joys of the internet exists, and I will be your tour guide in exploring the diiferent outlets that will allow you to immerse yourself in a place that isn’t your blanket burrito. So let’s get started

1. Write a letter

There is nothing better than opening yourm mailbox to find something that isn’t junk or mundane life things, and especially during this time I think we are all deprived of some type of social interaction.

Writing a letter to an old friend or family member can be a great way to make up time lost while having to stay indoors, and even if they live only a city away, it could be a fun way to experience a familiar place through someone else’s eyes.

To add some flare, you and your penpal can send each other scavenger hunts in which the recipient has to take a picture of whatever they had to find.

The letter could be either a one time thing, or lead up to regular correspondance between the two of you, and is a fun way to experience places and situations through another perspective.

2. PostCrossing

If you can’t find someone to send letters to, you can still recieve awesome mail from various cultures from around the world.

I have made a post about Postcrossing.com, so go and check that out if you want a more in depth opinion about the site before you decide to make an account, but postcrossing is a much more diverse form of mail.

With postcrossing, you send and recieve postcards from all corners of the Earth, and it is a chance to learn many new things about places, countries, and cultures.

Personally, I have recieved postcards from Australia, Wisconsin, Thailand, and Japan!

3. Virtual Museums

Many museums are schowcasing their exhibits for free on their website, and this allows you to travel the world through art without ever leaving your house.

My favorite exhibits include The National Museum of Modern and Contemprary Art in Seoul, and this museum as well as many others can be easiy accesed through this site here :
