Hello and salutations, precious grubs! It has been a fair few months since my last post on here and I have decided to return on this account:I am going to Virginia in the summer!I am going to be attending the Youth Summit (wyse) and as a part of my stay they would like for me to b l o g about my time there to “enhance my experience”! That really tickled my toes because I remembered this graveyard of a blog! No hard feelings, of course. For the upcoming month I am going to really be solidifying this website and cleaning up the rough edges so it will be ready for this summer. I plan on sharing this with my beloved mother so that she can read both read about my trip and watch it on YouTube (Tomlinson Boys).Another reason why I am back so early is because I’m going to Costa Rica in March! Yeah, this year is gonna be really eventful and really fun so I would like as many ways and forms of documentation going as possible so I’ll never forget a single detail of the year I blossom into true adulthood. 18 is only the rest of the year away so NOW IS THE TIME to document my adventures from the end of my junior year, being the ignorant teenager I am, to finding and figuring out the adult world as it throws itself onto me and sucks me under like a current in the ocean. Yep, that sounds realistic to me!I will be spending one week in Costa Rica in March and one week in Virginia in . But wait, that’s not all…I’M SEEING HARRY STYLES IN AUGUST!I. KNOW.it’s insane! This year will be the beginning of my adventurous life and I can’t wait to share it with all who happens to read this blog!To wrap up this amazing post as my return from hiatus, I’d like to give you a little life update of the first month of 2020:Sadly, this month started out with a tragedy, and my family traveled down to Austin, Texas to spend some much needed time with loved ones. On the way back, however, my family and I stopped at the Dealy Plaza to reminisce at the site of the assassination place of the late John F. Kennedy. I believe I still have to post my walk to YouTube, but you should be able to find it there regardless. I returned home with postcards and envelope sets as I am still very much infatuated with penpalling.Next on the timeline, my mom and I have been house hunting! While it has been mentally exhausting, we are still persevering because this Willow house is overflowing with b a d v i b e s.It has been a wet, muddy mess this past week, and as a result my old car refuses to play my cds smoothly. The first station I tuned into was a hidden gem though, 88.3. It plays various indie and eclectic music. During the mornings it plays songs without sound, and gradually adds lyrics, and finishes off the night with rock. On the first morning of 88.3, a very interesting India-type number came on, and while my passenger and I agreed that it was the sound you hear as you enter Hell, we danced and vibed to it cranked up in the high school parking lot because we didn’t want to walk out into the cold. It is moments like those that feel as if time stops and won’t continue until you let it. Moments like those make you feel infinite, and I did. I felt connected through the unfamiliar music to my passenger who is barely more than an acquaintance, and all was good.
Today I waited for my mom to return from work and we went to the Four of Wands, a metaphysical store in Fayetteville. Every stop there is like walking into a new environment, even if you’ve been in a hundred times before and know exactly where and what everything is. We love going in there. After that stop we went right across the street to 410 Vintage Market, where I found giraffe legs as well as a JFK Life Magazine and vintage photographs. I ended up purchasing the latter two. I already have the cover of the JFK magazine, gifted by my best friend, and I purchased the full magazine because of its ridiculously detailed account of that faithful day in Dallas, the background of Harvey Lee Oswald, and much more. I don’t mind having both the cover and the cover + magazine, as both are very special to me in the manner in which I recieved them. I hope you understand emotional attachment as my biggest weakness.Mom and I ended our day with a trip to Sonic. Mom tried the later disappointing Totchos and I just got the classic onion rings. Now I am writing this while in the bath (haha) and listening to 88.3. As an upcoming tradition responding to my first blog posts here is my outfit for the day below. Have a wonderful day and stay tuned for my upcoming adventures, I hope they keep you interested and on your toes, waiting for my next blog post (mwahahhaa).See ya, Katelyn.
