Puppies in the Fall Leaves

The weather has been so up and down these past couple weeks. Halloween week it was super chilly, then last week it was in the 70s, now there was snow in the forecast for today. Was there any snow? Of course not! But it is still very cold.

We are reaching peak foliage here in Arkansas, and our mountain landscape is dotted with reds, oranges, and yellows. It is so beautiful! Some of the trees around my house are showering leaves like crazy, and with the sun coming up during their morning potty breaks, the leaves look like they’re glowing!

We’ve also been going on some walks along a trail near us, and the pups have been loving it!

My boyfriend trusted that there would be pumpkins available on Halloween day to carve, and not so surprising there wasn’t lol. But my mom went on a weekend trip and came back with some so we could still carve them and have fun even though its November. I tried to make a turkey Thanksgiving jack o lantern, and my boyfriend did the scream face.

I actually brought the knife down on my finger and cut it down the nail, eek! Wasn’t super painful but I did have to tape my finger together and my nail has a split long ways. I am a little too ambitious with my carving skills, and I am not as careful as I should be!

How has November started off for you guys? I haven’t been doing too much but I wanted to share these cute pup pictures before all the leaves fall to the ground and we enter the next season.

  1. Such cute dogs, Katelyn! I can this time of year Flip Flop Season, nothing to do with the very summery shoes. It’s the same thing back home in Michigan. Have a great new week! ☺️❤️

  2. Funny and beautiful post! Fall really is a nostalgic, transitioning time of year. The smells, the colors, the early sunsets… I love it! Also love that the puppies are liking the colder weather because I was really wondering how they would do with it! Let’s see if we get snow and the puppies get to experience that too!

    • I am doing well! And I feel like you truly understand me on the blog hiatus ‘:). I’ve been working on some things behind the scenes for my blog so there will hopefully be some posts flowing in soon!

It has been nice to lurk in the Reader section, sometimes I feel like I shouldn’t because I haven’t been as active but we are all here to support each other and I love reading other blogs! You and many others give me so much motivation and ideas even when I am burnt out of writing.
