… and she got me sick! I guess that’s what happens when you are hip to hip with someone who is coughing and sneezing without covering their mouth for 3 days LOL. But yes this past weekend I was hanging out with my 6 year old sister. I hadn’t seen her since summer so I figured I should spend some time with her.

She has really been into Roblox lately, which is amusing to me and we played pretty much all weekend. She chooses the silliest games. I brought my puppy Tori with me and she loved my sister. I think that is the first kid she’s really met! Tori was a little nervous of the other dogs, 2 Pitbulls and one excited Frenchton, but by the end of the weekend she wanted to play.

On Saturday night we carved pumpkins, and she wanted to do the same design as me- a carving of both of us. I think they turned out cute, but I am not good at carving. My stepmom baked the seeds, one savory batch and one cinnamon sugar batch, and the sweet ones were my favorite. Do you like roasted pumpkin seeds?

I left on Sunday to meet with my boyfriend as he looked at an apartment closer to me, and I was fine until Monday. I started feeling a little weird and fuzzy in my head and then that night I had a fever. I suspect I went to the doctor too early because I tested negative for strep, flu, and covid, but my throat was inflamed so they prescribed me some medicine. I have been out of commission for over a week now! I haven’t gotten sick like this in a long time.

For the first week it was painful to stare at a computer for too long, or to even be up for too long, and I slept a lot. Then I had a girls night with my friends and could not hear much of anything because my ears were so clogged!

But today is Halloween and while I am congested, I can write and I am excited to carve pumpkins with my boyfriend tonight! I am not sure if he will get any trick or treaters, but I think we are going to dress up in our inflatable shark costumes and hang out lol.

That is why I have been MIA for about 2 weeks now, it is sad but Blogtober is over! If I had predicted my sickness I wish I would have scheduled some more posts for the end of the month but what can you do lol. This was a great experience for the time I could participate and I have a lot of hope and motivation for the future of my little hobby blog! How has your October treated you?
