Weekly Wrap Up 10/6-10/10

Monday, October 6th

I spent the day with my boyfriend and Tori and Rue. I took some great photos of them outside near golden hour- some cute and some silly. I had spent the weekend with him and we got to try on our Halloween costumes which are blow up sharks. I’ve seen these kinds of blow up costumes but wearing one was extra fun.

Tori always wants to play and sniff Rue, but Rue does not always allow it haha.

Today I celebrated the guinea pigs’ birthday! It was a cool, foggy autumn day and I thought it was going to rain. I started some laundry and washed my hair and started getting ready for class. When I checked Canva, though, my teacher posted that he was sick and that class was cancelled. I was not too disappointed and I spent the day enjoying the weather.

I have been revisiting my favorite childhood computer game, Animal Jam, it has been so much fun. I also finished watching a play through of Silent Hill 3, and honestly I was not super impressed by it. I think I have watched the most important games out of the series so I feel safe enough to move onto my next hyper fixation.

Wednesday, October 8th

Today was another perfect fall day, nice and cool and a bit cloudy in the morning before becoming a little warm and bright by the afternoon. I played with the puppies a lot outside since it felt so nice and I think they enjoyed it too. I took a lot of pictures today as well since it felt so much like the season.

I have the app DailyArt on my phone, and the widget is on my home screen so I can see the new art every day and learn about the piece and the artist. Today’s art was so pretty I wanted to include it! This is Autumn Leaves by Edward Okuń, While he is Polish, he took a lot of inspiration from Japanese art and aesthetics while painting nature.

Today I had an exam in geology so I woke up early to study. I was concerned that I would do horrible but with the allowed note card cheat sheet I think I did alright. I’m just glad I was able to wake up to my alarm, I have started slacking and sleeping in too much.

After class I went home and commented and replied to things on my blog and on others’ blogs. I’ve really been enjoying spending my afternoons going through the Reader and seeing what everyone has been writing about. At 5 I took Tori to therapy with me and she slept on the couch the whole time. she is a very good dog in public spaces, but at home she can get a little crazy haha.

Friday, October 10th

The weather has felt amazing this whole week, I am very happy! It felt so good even after 12pm that I took both Wyatt and Tori to Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. There is a trail through the historic grounds and it is very pretty. The puppies definitely had to adjust to seeing all these new people and yes they barked. It took about 10 minutes of walking around before we could even get on the trail without them sounding some kind of alarm.

But as we continued on the walk, the better they got. They quickly learned to stay on the paved sidewalk and not try and run out too far. Tori was amazing, she is very good on a leash and stays right by my feet thanks to her being very receptive to heeling! Beefy on the other hand is a typical boy dog and thinks hes’s the boss. While Tori was able to have more freedom with the retractable leash, Beefy had to have his at a set length because he will run and do whatever he wants! I will say, the treats I brought helped a lot.

It took us a while to complete the trail with all the pit stops and waiting for people to pass and water breaks, but we did it! I think they did great overall, I am impressed by how well behaved they were by the end of the walk. We even met other mini schnauzers!

Overall, this was a cool, calm week spent with the pups. I feel like I didn’t have too much to talk about this week and it is hard for me to feel accomplished about a blog post if I don’t see chunky paragraphs but that is the reason I am doing this challenge! I want to stop feeling like things are not good enough, this is all just for fun and to push myself to be creative and productive with my hobbies.

I will talk more about this and the other blogs I’ve been loving in next week’s set of posts, and I will be doing some fun stuff so I’m excited to write about it!

See you all tomorrow!
