In order to accomplish my bucket list goals and create an environment which inspires Blogtober writing, I want to create a mood board. Simply put, a mood board is a collection of images that sets the “mood” for something. You can make one of these board for whatever you want to accomplish. It can be for your New Years Resolutions, a new project, or just a reminder of your favorite things on your lock screen.
I have already started doing this in the wallpaper sense, making a matching collection of photos for my boyfriend and I to have on our computer screens that shows what we have been enjoying recently. I’ve shown these already, but here they are all in one place:

While I already have a wallpaper mood board for October, I definitely want to make a Blogtober collection of photos. Not only will it motivate me to achieve my writing goal this month, but it is also really fun as well. Finding the perfect images and using Canva to create a collage that I am happy with is more mentally engaging to me than I realized.
Have you ever created a digital mood board, or would you rather cut and glue magazine photos on paper? I enjoy both, but I find it is easier to look online for specific images.
Most of the images I use come from Pinterest, but sometimes just a quick Google Image search gives me a better result, especially for pop culture.

And here it is! it is a different style than the cork board wallpapers. I really like the plaid fabric background. A lot of the elements are directly from my bucket list, like writing, music, and warm cozy food. I incorporated some photos from my wallpapers just because they fit the overall vibe.
My favorite images are the vinyl records, the pumpkin stamp, and the 50’s housewife on the laptop. I added a little border around some of the images just to make them stand out a little bit since there are a lot of textures, but I think it all came together well in my eyes.
I also went for more of a layered collage style instead of the illusion of single images pinned to a board, and I like this style. It’s a more cozy feeling, right?
What would you add to your mood board? Do you think creating one would help you in any of your new projects? Thanks for reading my Blogtober Day 2 post, see you tomorrow!

Your wallpaper mood boards are really fun and interesting! I enjoyed zooming into them to discover the smaller details. Very cute! My current mood board (if I had one) would have forest colors and signify new beginnings and growth. Looking forward to you next post!
