Every year I get an email from dearfutureme.org, and I get to read about my life from exactly one year ago that day.

In today’s post you will get to read my letter from 2018, mainly because it is the most well written letter I’ve sent to myself, yes this is the best one. Until maybe next year ;).

Dear Future Me, 

Wow, Sophomore Katelyn is going to get a lot of letters, but this one is SPECIAL. One year ago today I wrote my first letter to my future self from the EAST room. To answer my past questions, yes I did get a’s and yes Emery is still my friend, but I am unsure if I matured all that much. Noah became one of my best friends if that clears anything up. I’m exempt from my semester tests so no more school for me. This letter is so boring I’M SORRY! Anyway, I love Louis more than ever since- oh wait I got dumped for the first time in my life. It wasn’t the worst part of my year though, thanks to certain circumstances. I didn’t even cry until a few weeks later. Kind of a delayed reaction but idk. 

Sparrow is getting to be an old dog ( I painted her toenails last night! Shhh). Her tumor is coming back and that makes me sad. I think as you grow older more mundane things become funny than the unmentionable things. This letter is literally just my internal monologue, a string of thoughts, related or not. 

I wish I could add pictures to my letter. That would be awesome. 

Well, I love you, and if you’re stressed out about being an old hag or because Louis still hasn’t released his album, just know that soon it will be in the past, and I’ll deal with it because I’m past Katelyn and you only have to worry a lil bit, just a lil bit ( lil because it’s smaller than little) so relax and leave it to me. 

Now for the best part. THE QUESTIONS!! 

How long is your hair? Do you have a boyfriend ( you better not)? Who are your friends? What are you doing this summer? Did this school year suck? What’s your favorite color (red)?
